On July 29, 2005, Sara Hayward joined her father early in the morning aboard the Pez Espada II out of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. While trolling with a Mean Joe Green lure, she hooked and landed an extraordinary 83.46-kilogram (184-pound) wahoo after a grueling 45-minute battle. This single catch shattered three world records, including the Female Junior and the All-Tackle World Records. It also set the Women’s 37-kilogram (80-pound) Line Class record.
