When treating a snake bite, never apply a tourniquet, ice, electric shock, or try to suck out the venom. Do not cut or slash the wound in any way, and avoid drinking alcohol or taking pain relievers like aspirin or ibuprofen. Additionally, never attempt to trap the snake or handle it, even if it is dead or decapitated.
