If a snake bite occurs, seek emergency medical attention immediately and do not attempt to drive yourself to the hospital. While waiting for medical transport, sit or lie down with the bite in a neutral position of comfort. Wash the bite with soap and water, cover it with a clean, dry dressing, and remove any rings or watches before swelling begins.
