Placing a small object in the foreground and a person in the background allows you to experiment with size and scale. If you are shooting on a smartphone, you can tap different areas of the screen to see how the focus and brightness change. Alternatively, you can shoot in aperture priority mode to let the camera automatically balance the settings. If the final image appears tilted, you can straighten the photo using the horizon line as a guide.
